About Coventry
My name is Coventry Jankowski and I am the owner and “Chief Inspiration Maven” of GimmeGrace, LLC. I have a passion for God, my family, helping others, color, design, shoes and... oh yes, Christian cards. Currently I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my husband Josh, three greyhound dogs and one very large siamese cat. I spend a lot of time enjoying the outdoors - hiking, biking, fly-fishing, snow shoeing and cross country skiing. I love reading, but have started many more books than I have finished. I can often be found with a HOLGA camera, a cup of tea, a crossword puzzle, and book on typography. My secret entertainment pleasure is Guitar Hero, and I love the movie "The Wedding Singer" I cry when I see road kill and have been vegetarian for many years.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a B.S. in Cultural Anthropology and put that degree to use in the fast paced dotcom world of San Francisco. I worked for many years in the corporate tech field before deciding to pursue my dream of becoming an artist. At 33 I graduated from the Academy of Art University with a BFA in Graphic Design.
Although I come from a Christian family, I personally did not find faith until later on in life. During a visit from Chicago, my parents dragged me kicking and screaming to a church service in the area. Despite attempting to tune out the message, something was heard. I found myself returning to that church again and again. Eventually, that still small voice spoke and I found I had accepted Christ as my savior.
Finding I was not fully satisfied with my career as a Graphic Designer, I prayed long and hard. God placed on my heart the desire to serve Him and others though a creative ministry of connection. GimmeGrace Christian cards was born from this desire - the desire to give to God, care for others and support the environment.
